The Ageless Goddess is a day for us to celebrate the beauty and gifts of our age, whatever number you are at!
We will share the latest research from modern science and complementary medicine on healthy ageing, acknowledge the challenges and provide you with a host of tools and tips to equip you now and in the future. That includes of course opening our hearts and minds to the wisdom of the body and to the grace of acceptance. You will be guided through a meditation that grounds and binds us in a circle of safety and love.
We will open a discourse on what ageing means to us in our worlds, in this society. You will have the opportunity to journal your thoughts and emotions and share them if you feel moved to in this circle of support.
We may gently unpack the hurt and grief that can accompany the stereotypes and expectations and how we are seen or not seen. Or we may simply sit with these feelings. We will be acutely sensitive to the needs of the women present.
This day will open our eyes to see our beauty beyond the skin-deep. To embrace and celebrate our bounty, wisdom, experience, strength, irreverence and divine feminine nature with lightness and joy.
We will invite our inner child out to play and enjoy a fabulous belly dance lesson with Fran from BellyUp Belly Dance!
We will learn self-massage with beautiful oils and balms, experience the sensual and therapeutic postural benefits of somatic movement and a taste of the ancient art of Qi Gong.
We will experience the deep rest of Yoga Nidra to the accompaniment of Tibetan singing bowls and luxuriate in restorative yoga supported by bolsters and blankets and dreamy music.
In between we will nourish you with a delicious warm lunch designed to be especially nutritional and tri-doshic (Ayurvedic support for every body type and condition).
Warm beverages will be on demand and yes, of course there will be a yummy treat for afternoon tea 🙂
